  • Whats that song playing in the begining? Anyone.

  • @bigoz7 It's not a complete song, it's a song clip without vocals that's royalty free music.

  • why the edit? I thought the original with nutnfancy was kind of funny.

  • @P226nut I removed that clip because of the sound track being played. Instead of going through a bunch of web forms for getting royalty free music approved, I just deleted it as I have a bunch of more important things to do - like getting the rest of the SHOT videos up. :)

  • @jericbrogdon It's not a "fake Krink". The 5.45mm is obsolete in all former Warsaw Pact countries, they all swapped over to a 5.56mm AK. That's why all that cheap surplus 5.45mm is available on the civilian market, at least until its all sold out and then it dries up for good. Actually buying a 5.56mm AK74 variant (AK101 series) makes more sense in the long run ~ especially for us here in the US.

  • @Everett07630 however I have no idea how compatible the 5.45 and 5.56 rifles are.

  • @Everett07630 yea, but at the same time I like the ballistics of the round and replacing the barrel in the rifle shouldn't be too much of a challenge.

  • @101crazys If commie Obama sign an ammo importation ban, kiss 5.45mm good bye, because there's only one domestic producer, everything else is import. Think such a ban cannot happen? Back in the 1990's under commie-democrat Bill Clinton, the govt banned the importation of all steel core (M43) 7.62x39mm military rounds. Yes it was completely done for anti-gun political reasons because steel core 7.62x54R is still legal for import. At least with 7.62x39mm every US ammo producer makes domestically.

  • @Everett07630 that's like saying the 7.62 will eventually dry up because of the warsaw pact countries stopped using them. BTW they still produce the 7.62 and the 5.45.

  • Why don't they make it in 7.62. Come on arsenal

  • Why are most AK pistol in small calibers? (5.45 or 5.56) 7.62x39 is much better in an sbr because it isn't a very high velocity round and a shorter barrel doesn't affect it's ballistics nearly as much as the 5.45/5.56.

  • @the308capital All Zastava firearms are robust well made firearms. Some people are critical of the lack of a chrome lined barrel. However, they use a heavier barrel profile that outlasts even the typical chrome lined thinner AK barrel. They also use a 1.5mm thicker RPK style receiver with stronger trunnions. They even make a very powerful military AK in 7.62x51mm NATO, see: w w w . zastava-arms . rs/

It sucks about 922R, these excellent AK's aren't importable here in the US.

  • @TheAk47Enthusiast Except for super expensive Hornady 5.45X39 60 gr V-MAX, there are no domestic US producers of 5.45x39mm. All it takes is for the anti-gun politicians to implement a Russian import ammo ban, even the civilian grade lead core 5.45x39 will dry up. This is the main reason I chose to purchase my AK's in 5.56x45 and 7.62x39 - both calibers are domestically produced. If you're heavily committed to 5.45mm stock pile extra ammo while you can - especially the steel core stuff.
