http://www.fitnesseducationseminars.com. Dr. Evan Osar covers VMO (Vastus Medialis) and Glute Activation. How to activate the VMO and Glute and the whole kinetic chain. This is a great exercise for people who have knee pain or have a problem keeping the big toe in contact with the ground during lunge and squat exercises

  • not sure but are you saying that in the first half of the video she did not do it properly, for example at 2:55 her big toe comes off the ground and the big toe should maintain contact with the ground, or is it the bottom of the foot pad that needs ground contact

  • very helpfull thanks

  • I have major patellar tendinitis. I had an MRI recently to prove it wasn't anything else. Anyways I am having issues doing terminal knee extension. It hurts. I can barely straight my leg without pain in the patella tendon insertion. I can get into the positio (without) pain if I do it passively, but as soon as I let go, to work on an eccentric exercise, the pain start immediately. Any suggestions?

  • Hi there , I'm 30 yr old male and had a patella decompression and a piece of the patella tendon removed 5 months ago, I don't seem to be able to build up my vmo at all. My knee is not sore anymore but I still find it hard to walk down stairs. Please what can I do to start the process?

  • Great explanation Evan. I've got a lecturer called evan and he's also a brain haha. Must be something in the name? :) Thanks again.

  • Dr. Evan,

Excellent information. I enjoyed this topic and it changed my thinking about terminal knee extension. And it will improve the way that I train my clients. Thank you for the video and giving me the advanced tools for training my clients. I am subscribed to your site and look forward to additional topics.

    Thank you,

    Brianna Larson
