A self penned tune which I am assured by Jim is based upon actual events. Jim is now back fiddling on the Yorkshire Belle at Bridlington, he also informs me that now is the time to see the Puffin's and perhaps catch your very own in a pint glass.

  • @nkatsmum You mean Jim? Lol!

  • Any chance that we can see and hear Jim's rendition of Dancing In The Dark? I have it on tape somewhere but couldn't tell you where it came from... someone passed it to me many years ago.

  • @crisoAy He hasn't recorded that one with me yet, although there are still quite a few classics in the can! Hopefully Jim will pop around again soon, and I'll read him your comment.

  • I have to say, this song is awesome! i was with 1jadeamber when we heard the back story and the song. I swear Jim was telling me how to recognise the seabirds as they flew past! And about the sooty-grey albatross. We had this song in our heads for at least three months.

  • awesome song! i first heard it about a year ago on the yorkshire belle :D

  • Wonderful!! I met your son yesterday in his ambulance at mitchell's fold! lovely bloke, and a very good folk guitarist! i did a steve wickham jig Dunford's fancy on my fiddle with him, and his guitar to it was brilliant!

  • lol I meant Jim but the name John's in my head for some reason..lol still a legend :)

  • @nkatsmum That'd be grand.... I can't remember exactly where my recording came from but I must have the tape somewhere..... I'd love you to upload it as I'm forever telling my friends about it. "Stuck in Maggie's England..... " That gives some idea of the age of the recording!

    Cheers

  • GREAT song. can't wait to meet Jim again on the Yorkshire belle
