Is there an Indian way of doing business?

Business Sutra attempts to answer that question through a special series of conversations with well known mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik. Pattanaik believes that mythological stories along with symbols and rituals are the tools through which our ancestors shared their wisdom, wisdom that is relevant even in modern times. Business Sutra is an attempt to make the wisdom of mythology accessible and applicable to the corporate world.

Hosted by Menaka Doshi, Business Sutra will, over 4-5 episodes, discuss the purpose of a corporation, short term goals versus long term ideals, leadership qualities, dharma sankat and modern day business conflicts, ownership versus management, the lifecycle of a business and similiar issues pertaining to Leadership & Governance.

Best part is we all know that way to run business is to have mix of long term strategy and short term but due to shareholder pressure even good leader forced to take illogical choices. I salute his way of explaining by stories and sketches.

Ha Ha Great way of explaining western type of capitalism (democraticaly and logically distributed shares in a business) from historically running businesses owned by a baniya ( a businessman in mythology) ha hah ha......there is something to learn from this man.......financial experts se ab thak gaye hein .....he is one who making and modulating our thinking which will help us everywhere.....good gurukool
