Yes that is Bob Browning doing the vocals on the Jeff Newman steel guitar practice track. I bought many of the Jeff Newman steel guitar learning/practice tracks and this song is on one of the cassette tapes.

The singer sounds like an old friend of mine by the name of Bob Browning. Does anyone know?

Super job Brian. I love the steel guitar and you make it look so easy with your playing. This song is an old favorite of mine - and as has already been said, it's a great dance hall favorite and I've danced to it many times. Thanks so much for posting. - Paula

Are you doing the vocals also? All your songs are the same ones I have done for a 100 years. I practice my harmony parts with your vocals.

Hi red50shadow...the Pedal Steel Guitar is a quite difficult stringed instrument to play, but if you are willing to spend the time required to overcome the fear of the learning curve, you would learn...this is not an instrument that could be learned overnight by no means...time and the right learning material or private one on one lessons would be the way to learn properly if someone was to tackle this beautiful but demanding stringed instrument...don't know if this answers your question...

Hi red50shadow thanks for the compliment, but I have been playing or working at playing the Pedal Steel Guitar since 1977. It took me a couple years to try and figure it out back then...but then again we did not have the Pedal steel learning materials that are available today, so learning to play has shortened quite a bit from the 70's...I would say if you are really interested, get a good SD-10 Pedal Steel and some good starter Pedal Steel instruction, one on one if possible and get started.
