Meredith and fellow string masters with this delightful rag entitled, "Sunflower Slow Drag" composed in 1901 by Scott Joplin and another party with the surname of Hayden. This performance was at an afternoon concert in Columbia, Missouri. The concert was hosted by the BLIND BOONE RAGTIME & EARLY JAZZ FESTIVAL, and was one of many events during the three day festival.
It was great!
Hope to see you next year in early JUNE for another great festival!
Wonderful string quartet version, and a most excellent capture of video by the ragtime camraaaman...rah rah! Really so musical, connected, unique weavings in such a syncopated style...do I love it? Why, yes I do!!

This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. Big fan of Joplin and already familiar with the composition but this just blows me away with the strings. I'm in awe!
