Josh was born prematurely with a condition called Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC). This condition forced him to undergo an immediate surgery in which most of his small intestine was removed. Despite four months in the neonatal intensive care unit and numerous surgeries, Josh now lives a happy, healthy life. Doctors at Nationwide Children's Hospital are looking for answers, so that they can treat this condition even better in the future.

My cousin was born 3 months premature. She has battled this for months! She going to be a year old in April! They told us several times that she would not live over night. They told us to get ready for a funeral! This was a huge upset to our whole family! We finally got her on the transplant list in Omaha Nebraska. We got a call friday night and they had her organs! She received small intestines, liver, and pancreas! She is now recovering for that right now! It is definitely a little miracle!
