Woman shaken by bag attack

CCTV images of a man police believe could have vital information about an attempted bag theft in Sutton-in-Ashfield have been released.

A woman has suffered panic attacks after a would-be thief grabbed her handbag at about 4.15pm on 18 September 2011 in Outram Street.

The 59-year-old, who managed to hold on to her bag and as a result was dragged to the floor, was left shaken and grazed.

Police are now urging a man pictured in CCTV in the area at the time of the attack to come forward as they believe he may be able to help them with their enquiries.

Anyone else who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 17 and 20. He's between 5ft 4ins and 5ft 5ins tall of slim build with fair skin and blonde short, neatly cut hair.
