Dương Nguyệt Ánh 2007 National Security Medal

Nguyet Anh Duong is a Vietnamese American scientist. In September 2001, she was in charge of a special endeavor and assisted in creating an urgently needed new weapon called the Thermobaric weapon in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to effectively defeat tunnels and caves being used as terrorists hideouts, in order to spare United States Armed Forces from the bloody prospect of tunnel-to-tunnel combat against the Taliban in Afghanistan.

She is noted as the "Scientist who developed the bomb that ended the war with Afghanistan" by the Vietnamese American National Gala

In 1999 she was awarded the Dr. Arthur E. Bisson Prize for Achievement in Naval Technology and had her name engraved in a plaque on permanent display at the Office of Naval Research.

In 2001, she was awarded the Civilian Meritorious Medal for superb leadership, technical expertise and significant contributions to the Department of Defense in the area of High Performance Explosives.

In 2007, she was awarded the National Security Medal for significant contribution to the nation in activities related to national security.

  • @ecstasy0702 DNA is no hero, she's an evil scum sucking on white master rotten milk. She's a good dog so to speak.

  • @ecstasy0702 Wow you are an idiot. So you're saying that every Vietnamese died in Vietnam was a commie? Even children and babies? I don't even want to hear what you have to say next since you have proven to me you're a complete waste of life.

  • @ecstasy0702 "listen to 2 sides" - Uh I grew up with an American education all my life, 10 years living in the US. But education means knowing all sides, not just 2. Conflict is not just 2 sides - that what Americans likes to think, Communist vs. Capitalist, Republican vs. Democrat, Liberal vs. war supporter - reality is never like that. I believe in truth and justice that all men are created equal with inalienable rights. US govt corruption have taken away people's rights and freedoms

  • There are a lot of ignorant and stupid comments. I am so sad to know a lot of young vietnamese have their heads full of yellow substance and brainwashed. You are either too jeajous or dumb. You better learn from this bomb lady to be a useful person for whoever country that currently feed your loud mouths. I don't think you dare to enter any college so don't be too dumb and jealous like that. That attitude is for the uneducated and the communists. I am proud of Duong Nguyet Anh.

  • @AccordGTR seriously I do not understand what your point is, what you said keeping jumping back and forth. My advise to you is when you gather information, you should listen from 2 side. Btw, I am Vietnamese American and I proud of it, I will go to US Air Force after I graduate from 4 years college and I am also willing to come back to Vietnam to fight against china if they try to invade my country again. Thank you for interesting in my country anyway.

  • @ecstasy0702 Your communist theory was all lies and propaganda - while American soldiers were dying in Vietnam, Nixon was wooing COMMUNIST China to become trading buddies with America in 1972. 20+ years later, the same Vietnamese COMMUNIST govt that killed over 58,000 Americans are suddenly friends with the US. Today Vietnam welcomes US Navy and millions of tourists every year.

I am Filipino, visited HCM City last year and admire Vietnam's history for defeating the imperialists.

  • @AccordGTR: first, I want to know who you are? a fully American? a Vietnamese- American? or Vietnamese who live in the communist of Vietnam? If you are the first one, then I have to say shame on you who have no pride about your own country, if you are the second one, then you should be thankful American who brought you up here and give you a better life. If you are the third one, then I feel sorry for you because you are brain washed by communism.

  • @ecstasy0702 Gen. Butler is not alone but u r 2 dumb to listen. The US economy is said to be bigger than the other next 8 economies in the world - while some like u may b proud to be part of it, there are millions who paid the price for US imperialism. US slaughtered the American Indians to start their empire and have not stopped since. Research Edward Bernays how US govt uses propaganda and the media to sway public opinion and distort history. It's a terrible way to get rich and powerful.
