Awesome! We're full-time RVers and we decided our 1984 Ford 1-ton and the 35ft fifthwheel (6 mpg when towing!) was just too hard on the environment so we "upgraded" to a (not perfect) suburban and a popup. SOOOO much easier and I feel SOOO much better about our trips across the US! Kudos to you and your family for caring :) Thanks for taking a green vacation, we all benefit when each of us take responsibility for our own piece of the puzzle. :)

Man-made global warming is a myth!!! The earth was once hot and then it cooled... then it got warm again. It's called solar cycles. Please stop perpetrating the lie!

Are you so sure? Willing to bet your childrens' futures on it? Don't be so myopic - worst case scenarios deserve best case solutions. Efficiency has lots of other benefits, even if you don't "believe" in global warming. Consider the positive effect that efficiency will have on National Security, other Environmental issues, AND your pocketbook ($5/gal gas this summer anyone?). There are lots of good reasons to be greener . . .

Your fulltiming in a pop up, Lord, that must get close at times. We RV maybe two months out of the year with a 30 ft. 5th wheel and "07" Dodge Cummings diesel, getting 12-14 MPG while towing. Can't imagine going this route.

Depends on how you travel - if you spend a lot of time "indoors" inside your camper, you probably wouldn't be happy in a smaller rig. If you spend your time outdoors -- hiking, backpacking, and experiencing the country you travel through -- this is ideal. What I can't imagine is getting a big rig into any of the places we are able to get our small rig into. Good luck, and happy travels!
