@Alastor142 not exactly. It's just that we have laws. If you hurt someone physically, that is a violation of a person's physical being and is punished accordingly. It's a shame we lack the morality to punish people for telling people the lie that a god exists with punishment of death. Just like murder is a physical violation, a belief in god is an intellectual violation. Sure, murdering bad people is good, but I just think that religious people who do things out of fear are bad people.

See? I don't have a problem with anyone having an imaginary friend, but then when you actually start acting like a god exists is when you run in to problems.
I don't think anyone who calls themselves a believer in a god should be punished, only anyone who claims that their god will send someone to hell needs to be burnt to death themselves. The punishment has to fit. Of course that would not be accpted right away, but at least in a few generations we could be rid of harmful religious beliefs.
