I helped Roger Dixon ( http://http://www.skylandsrenewableenergy.com ) install two 40 kw Enertech machines in New Jersey. We assembled the towers and most other things two weeks prior to picking them because of the fact that some parts were late getting to the site. The time lapse images are of us assembling the rotors, nose cones, and nacelle covers the day before the lift. We actually lifted both turbines the following day (yes, two Enertechs in one day. I think we set a new record). This was a lot of hard work, and a lot of fun!!
Well, One of the machines had blade issues. It shed all three blades during a storm. This specific failure was discussed in great detail during this years Small Wind Conference in WI. There was a study done and it turns out it was caused by a manufacturers defect in the blade root. If you are interested in seeing the study along with other findings released from the manufacturer, I can email you a link. Youtube will not let me reply with the URL.
