Oh Nia (thought using your real name was too personal), I watched this and cried with relief because I'm in the same position as you and it's reassuring to see somebody with the same problem who has managed to stick out university. I've just finished my first term and I hated it, I'm so lonely. Sometimes I think that maybe if I hadn't been so influenced by my parent's course choices I'd be able to tolerate the loneliness as I'd be studying something I enjoy :( Well done for lasting three years x

@crackio <33 I'm sorry to read all this, doll. But if you're truly unhappy, it's only been a term, maybe it isn't too late to switch over? Try talking to a student advisor and speak to your parents, if you're genuinely unhappy I'm sure they;d understand. Either way, I wish you luck with whatever you choose to do! <3

I am not in school but I want to so bad and I'm 24 and I haven't graduated. I don't have money or help to do anything so I cry every day seeing my friends get ahead of me. And my mom tells me I have no future.

your parents won't be living your life, girl. don't do what they want JUST because they want it. make sure you want it too, because YOU'LL be the unhappy one and they won't be able to do anything about it. :) you don't want to regret what you did with your life. your parents had their life, you have yours. take control of it. have the courage to take risks and do what you want with your life.

Its funny coz im studying law too...n its not what I want to do with my life n part of the reason Im doing it was to please my parents so the way u described respecting ur parent wishes really touched me but Ive just made the decision to pursue what I want after this course coz dammit regardless of money enjoying what I do with my life is important!! x
