Testing an old Magnetic Stimulator device( originally for use as a medical device for stimulation of the human body (treating depression, pain, and diagnostics)) with a folded piece of aluminum sheet. It shoots it a good 5 ft in the air at 40% power. With the machined aluminum disc, I can't go past 50% power in the house as it starts to damage the ceiling and becomes quite loud.

  • Hi, do you still have it? do you also have its technical manual and schematics?

  • Please Mike, if you could shoot a video showing inside the Magstim Stimulator I could see how it is. I cannot wait for TMS treatment becomes cheaper and popular. I've quit most of my jobs because of depression... they say even if I had money to buy a TMS Stimulator I couldn't because I'm not a psychiatrist...this is ridiculous because I do know how to use it. We only need to set the motor threshold and the coil position on the Left DLPFC Dorsolateral Pre frontal Cortex. Help me, Please. Paulino

  • I've only got a few informations about the coil. I already built a coil for testing... a butterfly shaped one. but I need more information about the power module. I'm building a capacitor bank with 5 caps. of 1800uF x 400V. but I've heard that the voltage sent to the coils is up to 4KV... I'm trying to get information about this Switching Spark Gap to be used as a switch for HV. Some people say about IGBT's too.
