@mlwillmann On mine there is a tiny button you press when you get the dreaded "cartridge not recognized". On mine, this was described in the instruction video and the written stuff as well.
I got this system for my Epson RX595 about a year back and it works well if you give it a lot of printing to do. If you don't, it dries out and you have to do a lot of nozzle head cleaning before it recovers.
I have an Artisan 810. How do I get rid of the "cartridge not recognized" error message. I have tried reseating, powering off for 24 hours, etc... etc... etc.... Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me.
Hey i just purchased a newer model 810. I don't really need the duplexer that comes with it. Those guys from epson tell you that is optional to have it on or remove it if you like to but there is a opening at the back if you remove it!!! and they don't give you the cover!!! That's why I'm contacting you. I do not need the duplexer option and it would upgrade your model if you like I would happy exchange it for a cover only as it doesn't fit in my room otherwise :( Would you be interested??
The cartridges were not being recognized by the printer
So for a mere $11, I purchased online a reset button for the chips
That fixed it!
After running the printer for a time, the printer suddenly couldn't recognize the black chipset - So again, I used the chip reset hardware, (which again fixed the problem)
In summary, for the RX680, you MUST have a HARDWARE (not software) chip reset solution or else you WILL run into big troubles!!!

Works great. One downer to it. You must wait a day for air to run throw the system before you can print. After you instal it.
