Two days trekking in the Wairamarama over Easter. Thanks to Isaac who tagged along on his bike and did all the gates! Great excitment when we saw the wild pigs.

Once again - just beautiful! - when I met wild pigs in NZ, it was a little too exciting, as I was alone and on foot and they were too close to comfort and had piglets with them. I quickly located the nearest tree but they didn't seem to notice me so I just stood there till they left...pheeew!

That must have made the heart step up a notch or two!
When we saw these 8 we were all keen to chase them, they crossed into the forest in front of us, then proceeded down an almost verticle gully, no chase for us!!
