@ip161314 I can't answer for why he chose to glue it, but throttle bodies experience low temperatures and often bonding metals is stronger than even welding. Gluing is definitely the easier option and would work perfectly due to the low temperatures and large surface area. Many chassis are bonded, not welded or riveted. :)

How do you center the drill exactly over the hole? Maybe you have allready answered this somewhere sometime, but im curious. And why did you glue the part, is it because the corrosion, to prevent the galvanic corrosion, or did you find it easyer that way?

John- What was the source of the corrosion requiring the repair? Is this a common problem on these TBs?

@kisoia - Its a problem with almost all 911 MFI manifolds, they are made from magnesium. Mag is not very compatible with water and when these cars sit for a long time, you get this problem.

Great work, it has been brought up before but why not bore out the throttle body and "upgrade" so to speak. So new shafts, butterflies ect. Which would help with flow, thus a better running engine??

@hamza3608 - Finding oversize throttle plates with a 80 degree seat angle is pretty difficult, but this would definitely be a better solution for performance. I do this on Weber carbs all the time, but Weber T/plates are much easier to find.
