5. Print out the lyrics and write the chord chart. If you are adventurous, you might consider actually writing melodic heads on a 4 bar staff etc. But learn to write the chords at least I'm telling you. The older you get the hard it is to just remember it all, but if you have the chords at least you can easily have a vast repetoire

@cfmceroz Well I just thought you would show what chords you are using, Like show and EXPLAIN where you place your fingers and the picking pattern....

I only have about a year playing so it is difficult to play this without a tutorial or tabs..but I would prefer tutorial because it is much easier to learn from than tabs, in my opinion

3. try to think of the guitar as more like a piano and less like a sax. of course you don't play it like a piano but I mean in terms of trying to accomodate a soundscape that includes disctinct bass, mid, and treble elements juggled in such a way as to approximate a larger arrangement

@xWorIdAtWarx what did you have in mind? here's some thoughts on my playing, in general:

1. I'm not against using a pick or etc but I think it sounds better and you can do more if you just use your fingers/hands. and I mean fingers not nails, I keep my nails cut and my hands are heavily calloused.

2. use the heaviest possible strings you can use without breaking your guitar. they are harder to play but they sound better
