Well, I've never called my senators or representatives or anything. I'm referring to the stuff like constantly asking if there's any ind of animal products in certain food, reading nutritional facts, that kind of stuff.

Oh, and re: sheep, if I had a sheep I'd shear it. I have no problem with keeping farm animals. But I don't know where commercial wool, milk, etc comes from, and a lot of it's miserable conditions, so I pass.

Anyway, sorry for the preaching and I fully respect your right to meat (I'm happily married to an omni and have never tried to convert him). Just realize that not every vegan is a stupid loud hippie and that there are tangible benefits to veganism. My first and last YouTube comments :-)

I hear you, people are hypocrites, but that goes both ways. Most omnis don't choose to eat meat, they just do. I get lectures daily, though I never preach or say I'm vegan (unlucky you, I was in a mood). That's no better than an annoying vegan.

It's not BS; if people stopped eating beef, they'd stop making it. 1 person doesn't change a lot, but it's not all or nothing. Unknowingly using byproducts occasionally (you're right - you can't avoid it completely) doesn't undo years of not using them.

Most vegans still cut corners so it still just seems like a folly, and most of the time all I get from Vegans is dirty looks and bullshit lectures when they hardly understand what or why they are vegans just that they are and they want to bitch people, I guess if it helps you feel good to bullshit yourself then go for it, but donating to a food bank will keep people fed, not eating cows will not stop them from dying. especially since you are still using their byproducts SOMEWHERE in your life.

"All vegans" don't do anything, any more than all omnivores do.

Most vegans would say that human rights are FAR more important than animal rights. But why not do SOMETHING that you feel makes a difference? Of course you can't fix everything. Donating to the food bank is good, even though kids will still starve abroad. Running a 5k for a school is good, even if you can't run a marathon for breast cancer.

I'm doing something I believe is right based on research and logic. How is that bad?

That hardly makes any sense, and I think the point in general is that all vegans like to get behind some stupid animal rights activism when there are so many problems with human rights violations around the world that are so much more important and yet shearing sheep (which by the way is healthy for a sheeps coat by the way) and using their wool is a more pressing issue to you, you aren't being "nobel"( I think you meant noble) you are being ignorant.
