Huge Tesla Coil

A local hobbiest named ED in Western NY invited the local HAM's to view a high power laser and tesla demonstration. I was amaised at the power and sheer terror a water cooled laser with the power to cut steel will do. Not like a fire arm, this has unlimited range and no windage adjustment. Than Ed's tesla coil demo is something to fear.. Hearing protection required!! No Joke. Ok I assembled the photos into a video. This was photos at your own risk. The 3 million volts tends to fry video cameras.. I used an olympus 550 digital and took my chances, It worked fine.
While looking at the arch's just remember that the wooden beams on the celing/roof are 26 feet up. They catch fire. Some of the arch's hitting the floor are 4 inch diameter. You will also see the "cage of death", It is a grounded cage and you enter at your own risk. I did NOT do the cage. I was happy to view from 60+feet. I was there with a local HAM club and my daughter Jill. Simply amazing. The video does this no justice,, fear when you see it in person!

Its a "magnifier" steup, the large 'secondary' coil is actually a 'tertiary' coil the primary and secondary coils are the large white thing behind the tertiary coil
