For a region that's built its strong economy on Energy, NASA and Health Care, the future could be daunting. The Oil industry is under a microscope, Johnson Space Center is facing potential massive lay-offs and medical insurance reform is upon us... So what does all of this mean for the future of our area? Add to that the White House's recent push for financial reform, and we have a unique situation affecting our area that is in need of better understanding and discussion. Guests: John Beddow, Publisher, Houston Business Journal; Dr. Steven G. Craig, Professor of Economics, University of Houston; Dr. Stephen L. Klineberg, Professor of Sociology, Rice University; original broadcast date July 23, 2010.
