A student-made documentary about living with disability. This film was made in preparation to shoot "Invisible Light" which focuses on the story of a paraplegic young man. In this documentary, the actors for the future film attempt to simulate disabled life to better appreciate their subject matter.

People stop freaking the hell out. This is a documentary! They are suppose to be honest with they're opinions they are not in anyway being rude or disrespectful. They are not making fun of people in chairs. They are being honest. Some of you might be in chairs and for that I'm sorry but if you had the choice i'm sure you would say the same thing they did they are just saying they're fortunate they are being REAL. What would you like them to say that they want to be bound? that's not the case.

@webguy943 I'm pretty sure you'll never find anyone who uses a wheelchair out of necesity that actually wants to. I'm glad I don't have a hump growing out of my back and 3 arms, is that dissrepectful to people who do? Who's the real dumbass here?
And as long as I'm ranting, what\s this shit about "He can't do anything I can"? A line from Blazing Saddles comes to mind, but I'm not gunna go there

I want to see how they handle going down the street and see their reaction when they see a gang of teenagers they have to pass .then see them pass them as they snigger and whisper to each other and then go all quiet as you pass while their eys bore through you .and how some of the braver ones then say hello and ameadiatly burst out laughing as you answer .to me the worst thing about disability isn't the disability its self its people .

@webguy943 ok, so you want to be in a wheelchair? no? well neither do they. saying you don't want to be disabled is not disrespect for those who are.

dang these kids r so selfish, only thinking about themselves, saying theyre glad theyre not in a wheelchair. what about the ppl who have to live like that, their rest of their lives? i guess those black kids dont care about that, since it doesn't affect them. dumbasses.

Thanks Angie, we appreciate the comment, what we learned and experienced, on both sides of the camera during the making of this film and its sequel 'Invisible Light', will never be forgotten.

very good, opening this world for others. I work in this field and know its hard for alot of people to appreciate what is incorporated in day to day life for these people.each day is a challenge and a triumph. and yes they are people just like us,and have the same feelings as we do. independence is vital , even if its only making a small choice. thanks for posting!
