Interesting how little time in this subjective documentary was dedicated to Poland. In 1974 they beat Argentina, Italy and Brazil securing they 3rd place in the tournament. Grzegorz Lato received the crone for most scoring player of the competition. They were said to play the most beautiful and offensive football of all the teams in the championship.

Poland pretty much get short shrift in histories of football, even when focusing on the World Cup. They were awesome from 1972-82: Gold Medalists at the 72 Munich Olympics; great performance and 3rd Place at the 74 World Cup; Silver Medalists at the 76 Montreal Olympics; good play in 1978 and another well-deserved 3rd Place in 1982.
