Hubert opening up with Killing Floor at Turning Point Club in Piermont, NY. Great backup band - Dave Fields. Several names showed up to sit in with this legend; Kim Simmons and Dave Keyes.
Great night. Very fortunate to experience a living legend of the blues.

  • I have played with Hubert Sumlin my name is DanSlamme I play bass for the Who Dat Band he is one bad ass. What makes these people special is they invented a style of music. When we played it was like he was a kid in a candy store, music makes you young. I said to him after the show I hope I'm still playing when I'm your age...................he smiled and said you will man you will.

  • @wawalisko Keep listening. One day you'll learn to hear.

  • Hubert Sumlin, Dec. 4, 2011 RIP :( Thanks for memories, Hubert...

  • @wawalisko haha joke or not fuck bon jovi

  • @wawalisko Yes, but without this, Bon Jovi would be shoveling shit right now.

  • i insist....Bon Jovi is better......

  • @wawalisko .....This Cat is pushing 80 yrs old and has lost a little of his dexterity, but if you try what he's playing right there then you'll understand it's not so easy to make the sound he's laying down. What he did for electric guitar is only draw a few minor fans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin, Jack White.......just a few guys who couldn't play their way out of a paper sack. Kid, if fast fingers don't say anything then it's crap. FEEL IT, HEAR IT!

  • @conguera it ´s a joke..... how can be <bon <jovi better than anyone.....

  • Sorry, but I think my voice would have done Mr Sumlin's guitar a lot more justice than this douchebag wannabe they got singing. He sounds more like he's reading a grocery list than singing one of the greatest blues songs ever written.
