This is ReactOS trunk build r55006 (pre-0.3.14) running on the Dell Inspriron 8100. Runs fairly smooth, actually.

  • ReactOS is a nice idea, but development is so slow that it's practically vaporware, unless you actually look forward to using a free equivalent of Windows 2000 in the year 2020 (a generous estimate and assuming, of course, that the developers don't move on to something else before then).

Although the ReactOS team has got quite the uphill battle ahead of them, the improvements they've made since this recording is quite the achievement. It would be suicide for them to give up now after getting this far.

Not yet. Computer is old and not really designed for that sorta stuff.

  • i cant wait til official ROS releases are able to legitly run on real hardware, support for the ROS project would greatly improve when that happens, nice vid btw.
