It's not that she was ignorant of sports, but more the fact that she was half-joking trying to leverage sports loyalties when she clearly wasn't a sports person. By what means can she call out Giuliani for being a Yankees fan when she doesn't follow the game at all? I mean, all politicians pander to be all things to all people, but this was just so overt.
