A preview clip from 2009 Unwrapped with Miranda Hart: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00pldwg

Miranda Hart hosts a look back at the defining cultural, political and televisual moments of the year, remembering the events that shaped the world in 2009, or would have done if they'd actually happened. In this clip we see what a plain-speaking alternative Christmas message from Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg would look like, courtsey of Cassetteboy.

  • @ElliotCArcher nooo

  • @TaffTalk I am not one to defend the Tories either, there will never be a perfect leadership party. However, we're in a time where we have to choose the best of a bad bunch. Tell me the truth, since the smaller parties will never get in, who would you want leading us right now? Ed Milliband, Nick Clegg or David Cameron? They are no perfect but Cameron is by far the best because the other two take it down a whole new level and we'd be in even tougher times with them.

  • @QullVideo Hmm, last time I checked it was the Tories with the privatisation of most previously government owned institutes, collapse of Britain's manufacture industry, the sanctions against trade unions (cutting-back worker rights, leading us to be the most overworked nation in the world - with the longest working hours on the planet), Tory PM Heath brought us into the EU, tuition fee's skyrocket meaning higher education is now only for the affluent. What a fantastic legacy (Sarcasm).

  • this had been edited??? I thought this was the highlights of the debate.

  • @mrevilevil2 Perhaps you're right, perhaps you're wrong. Sure, the recession in 2008 would have affected us no matter what happened in the 11 years leading up to it. However, Labour buried us. Gordon Brown's final moments felt like he was actully sabotaging Britain on purpose because he knew he wouldn't be 're-elected' (using this term very losely for obviouse reasons), Labour buried us deep and has made the recession harder to recover from.

  • @QullVideo The recession brought Britian down to its lowest point since the war actually. Most of the actions Labour took would have been taken by any party in charge including the Tories (like bailing the banks out). The Tories inherited the economy when we started leaving the recession, they are going to take any credit for growth even though that is not the case.. What you are not seeing is that the Tories aren't cleaning up anything. Growth and Unemployment figures are weaker than expected.

  • "and i will cry everyday" lol

  • @Professor6871 yes I wish it had been edited.

  • @QullVideo last time I checked they havn't made anything better, we would all be better off if people didn't think about "the three parties" and instead actually voted for who they want. If you don't want public sector business then thats a valid (yet selfish and ignorant) politocal opinion, don't pretend like its the best way to do things though, its just the way you want. Probably because that mantion tax they blocked would have affected you

  • cass boy is a genious.. is that the right spell >??
