Russia and you US have been fighting throughout history so it makes sense that that their battles make good video games. Also makarov and his army in the game are not Russian military. They are ultra-nationalist extremist terrorists. Russia to makarov is kind of like Afghanistan to bin laden so in mw3 Russians are not the bad guys terrorists (makarov and his army)

It doe's somewhat do my heart pain that Makarov died the death he had.In some ways,he is both a protaginist,and a antaginist,in other words,Both at a time.

@wctr413 you know, i wouldnt say he is a protagonist, but he was definitely a cool character, and wouldnt have done the things he did, if it wasnt for that bastard shepard. I liked Makarov, but once he killed soap, it was his time for judgment.
