Andy Warhol isn't a brilliant artist. all he does is take pictures of things and people and paints over them in mismatching colors. i think he is extremely overrated and conceded. people give him to much credit...

tha tis why he is brillant, becuz he took modern "pop" everyday objects and changed them from boring and mundane to "icons" :) and at the same time eh was mocking the modern society through his depicts of common objects :)

Ol' Andy was one of the original creators of pop culture: a drug that fed the ignorance and mindlessness of the mainstream American. A drug that didn't even exist but the average shallow American felt he needed it badly. Even Andy knew he was a phoney and what he sold America was phoney too but that was what he was about. A professional nothing but he was one of the best and America loves anything that is the best, even if it's nothing. I like him because he shows me who the fools are. Go Andy!

Andy Warhol was Fabt! His Via attracted many other Artists - Some say Andy was a Vampire who used/abused & disposed of people...I think Andy was travelling at the speed of Sound... Some people jumped off that magickal ride without a scratch, others did perish... But "They-all" had their share of that banquet & to their fill... Not everybody can get old and not everybody can burn up like a lightning... I salute Andy Warhol for his Art & its enchanted stage where many played their myths as art.

@briteness Hi briteness. Let me preface that I'm a medical illustrator by profession. I've been an artist all my life and I've got my opinions like anyone else. The point of my impression with your response has nothing to do with Warhol. I'm impressed with your civility, politeness and respect for an opinion other than your own. I rarely respond to videos these days because most of what I get back is hatefull, vulgar and disrespectful of my take on the subject matter. Thanks for a civil reply.
