During the G20 summit our city and country was divided by the events that took place over the weekend. For many, their city completely changed in the wake of unprecedented security, police action, and mass arrests.

A woman was arrested after she was given a warning for blowing bubbles.
"If one of those bubbles touches me, it's assault"

So many human rights were violated that day, lets start to rebuild the system by teaching police that not everything is a weapon designed to hurt them. Like bubbles, and cameras. Writing your lawyers number on your arm does not make you a bad person, it means they fear that the police will rob their goods and leave them without a way to contact representation.... and what happened to them? They were often arrested BECAUSE of having numbers on their arm. The protesters were basically saying they fear you and you give them more ways to solidify that thinking. Good job. We are human beings, police should at least act like it. If you don't want to participate in humanity, how can we as a people support you. Obviously there is something wrong in the indoctrination police are receiving. We pay your salaries to protect and serve us, you've made it obvious it's about control and enslavement.

We need to unite in peace and solidarity and take back our city, our country and our planet.

Please join us in getting together and sharing this symbol of peace, fun and joy. Please bring your favorite bubble making tools. Lets hope for sunny weather. :)

On July 17th, Canada's day of Solidarity, we will be blowing bubbles for peace at Queens park at noon before the main rally.

See you there. Otherwise hope you are blowing bubbles wherever you are

Thanks to YT user baglady999 for alerting me of the event and her investigative help

Here's the actual changes in the laws that were in complete contradiction to a 5m rule. it's 2 parts, the initial rule was last altered in 1990 and the designated area rule was published on the e-laws site June 16th, but not published by media, namely the Ottawa Gazette as evidenced in the document until after the rules were revoked.

  • 2011-March 17 --- I just happened to see this video for the first time --- as a related link to something else I was looking at. First off, thank you, to uploader, for taking the time and care to shoot and acquire footage to intercut to assemble the thruline. As an editor I know even the simplest of versions take a long time...

  • @quicksite I was limited on time as the event was proposed to me only a few days before. Yeah it took me a full day to put it together, and professionally I would consider it a hack job. But your comment is much appreciated :)

  • LOL I have to laugh at this all's she got was arrested if it was Libya she would of been shot and killed and all her friends could blow bubbles at her funeral, some people just dont know how good they have it.

  • @cdnsoldier As a former Canadian soldier myself, I get upset that we are slipping incrementally into a state that could one day be Libya, That's why I joined is to ensure that we don't. I agree some people don't know how good we have it, but you shouldn't mock those who do their part to ensure we keep it that way.

  • Our so called authorities have brainwashed us into a separation. Canada-Quebec. English- french. East-west. Don't let them do this anymore, don't let them divide and conquer us. That's how we lose. We are just people.............none better none worse.

  • He proved insufficient preparation. She is just a child. He could resolved the situation by saying Do not throw soap bubbles. Even the woman officer was surprised with his abusive attitude. He unnecessarily intimated frighten the girl and the voice of prison exposed her to shame. And he still wants the respect of all world? He should be punishable and expelled from the corporation. And pay moral damages to the girl. He's mental sick - he thinks that he is a Matrix officer - simply ridiculous.

  • What did she mean by respect. Did she want to cop to get on his knees and lick her vagina?

He was neutral. "Omg, I feel disrespected omg omg". She was fucking taunting the cop and she fucking knows it.

I see a lot of these chicks who are spoiled by being treated special by douchebags in their personal life - when they get treated like an equal (say in a protest), they start throwing hissy fits.

  • Come on this chick was provoking the cops...She was a fucking moron. My name is a mystery? Then she continues to harrass them. He even told her what he thought about the bubbles...for all he knew it could have had acid, piss, shit, spit or whatever...either way it did have a detergent agent....I guarantee she was sitting at starbucks and I walked up to her and did this shit she would have freaked out and called the cops. I always love to find fault with the police but in this instance..

  • Vote strategically against Harper ! See who is going to win against him and vote accordingly ! Go to : projectdemocracy.ca The greatest tool !

  • @quicksite (3) whether or not she & they should even have the constitutional right to freedom of assembly. That's your prerogative. But to call her stupid, a dumb cunt, & the rest of the group all idiots is so beyond any reasonable or logical view of both this specific situation & the generalized concepts of liberal factions of society resenting vs. an overly authoritarian style and manner of "keeping the peace" when high level talks are taking place. She was PARTICIPATING; that's a good thing.

  • @quicksite CONT'D (2).. militarized intimidating presence of the cops, this display of massive authoritarian compliance. And that the bubbles and contrast of the psychology is meant to mock the absurd level of militarism turned against the citizens of a city, simply because citizens want to express their constitutional rights to protest political policy. There's way more to all this than that, and you can completely disagree with their political views re the G20 talks and policies, as well as

  • @dorot222 You're over-simplifying. Fair enough she may be naive, "a dumb child" if you prefer, and yes also true that likely this crowd of civilians would have sided with her no matter what she did. ALL likely true. I also agree with the basic statement of the tightly-coiled cop who said "you all are cop-baiting". That's true too. I'm a very progressive liberal and I would venture to say the underlying motivation was to REMAIN PEACEFUL and purposefully juxtapose that with the overly
