Pity the poor soprano. The squeaking of the armonica is a terrible distraction from the beauty of the singing. I've heard recordings of the armonica in which it did NOT squeak like this and, in fact, sounded quite lovely -- though I think the instrument's sound and pitch might be intrusive on a soprano's singing regardless. (Is it possible that the microphone is doing some of this squealing?)
