They should have based The Most Interesting Man in the World off of this guy. "I once played a song during a battle. The enemy surrendered."

What bothers is me is the "Nazi" in the title. How do we know the soldier was a Nazi?

I would love to meet him.... Incredible story

A powerful testimony to not only the stupidity of man, but also his redemption. No matter how many times i see this it cuts deep into my being, makes me teary eyed, sad and angry.
I hope the new generations learn from our past and can avoid the senseless inhumanity of war. Unfortunately, i am seeing the opposite all around me. Reminds me of the old saying: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it". Lest we forget...

Yeah seriously what is with the 'recommended" videos shown at the end of this video? That is really a downer after such a nice story.

That's a lovely story - proof of the power of music, indeed.
And what do I see when it finishes? A shaven fat head with a swastika tattooed on the back of it. That's the power of stupidity.
This story shows why patriotism is so dangerous... Patriotism is the process of putting country before logic love and common sense - It's how governments convince regular old humans into killing each other - when they might as well have been friends
Sad... we all want the same thing and we all have the same feelings
