Jason Garrett IDIOTIC Timeout

Jason Garrett's idiotic timeout may have not only cost the Cowboys the game against the Cardinals Sunday, but it may have cost his team a playoff spot as well. With Dan Bailey lining up to kick a 49 yard field goal with seconds to play, the head coach called a timeout thinking his team would not get the play off in time. Bailey went on to miss the next kick and the Cardinals would win the game in overtime.

@tytsports check out freakonomics website they have done research about icing the kicker. The really interesting thing is that the longer the kick the more likely it is to help the kicker. It gives the kicker a practice kick and more time to adjust to the conditions on the field.

If you're the home team, and the visiting team takes a TO to ice your kicker, just have it be a policy for the stadium to play the Rocky theme during the timeout. No way that song wouldn't get the kicker psyched and focused -- and the other team just wasted a time out.

yes there are studies about icing the kicker, and if anything it tends to increase accuracy.
