Ok I don't know the language or the gender of the song. The only thing that I know is that the song is "Berceuse iroquoise", and I have a mp3 track of the original version (voice, guitar and percussion) and a choral score, arregement to 4 voices. ... so i would like to know what's the supposed indigenous language, for example, because there are dozens of them around here. So far, the vague way it's always presented, it looks like it's a fake.

if you find the original indigenous version i would enjoy it, because as it is, i can only find the version by Madeleine Chartrand, which was recorded in 1973. The video for that is on YouTube. The tune and lyrics we learn are the same as the 1973 version, and we were taught that in grade 1 in French-Canadian schools, but I did not hear the 1973 version itself until this year.
