  • I want to buy this software, I'm in Dallas and have no sales rep where is the local contact info is it on your site?

Is it like inventor or Fusion?

  • @brandonleemoss Hi Brandon, please call 800-498-5351 or email info.plm@siemens.com and we will be able to direct you to a local sales representative. Thank you for reaching out to us.

  • How do you do to x-form the both planes at 0:58 ? i cant get that to work.. Please help!

  • @elletheman The trick was Face Finder Option, the option for Select Symmetric was checked, so NX knows that these two faces are symmetrical to one another. Thus, when user edit one side, the opposite site moves also.Hope this is helpful!

  • @SiemensPLM The problem is that it can't find the symmetric plane at all. So i wonder how you get NX to know that they are symmetrical. What do you have to do to make it fulfill that geometric condition? i can't even make it work on a simple cube...

  • @elletheman In X-Form → User Face Finder → Select Symmetric option, it is required to have the following to make it work:

    • Symmetrical; where geometry (faces) are identical, i.e. angle, length, extrude size

    • About Absolute WCS, location is critical

When two designs (design 1 centered to WCS, design 2 w/ a Datum defines symmetry) were applied X-Form (using Face Finder→Select Symmetric option), design 1, user can was able to apply symmetric option, the only difference was that it was about WCS.

  • @elltheman (CONTINUED) Design 2, using X-Form (unable to use Face Finder → Select Symmetric option), even when there was a datum plane defining the center symmetrical plane

We apologize that these requirements were not clear to the viewer in the movie. For further questions, please feel free to e-mail info.plm@siemens.com. Thank you.

  • @SiemensPLM Thank you, i found it out myself already after some hour of testing, but it was pretty sensitive about where to place the datum plane and WCS.

    Thanks for your support!

  • Impressive...

  • @SiemensPLM oops, that web site is siemens dot com/plm
