PAINT IT, BLACK - SITAR COVER (Rolling Stones)

I re-discovered an old cd-r with this home recording I made in 1998, when I purchased a sitar through eBay. I also have a few seconds of video (more recent).
I KNOW the original version is played with guitar, the intro is played by keith richard and all through the song, and in the background is Brian Jones playing a sitar. My version is NOT the Jones section, it's my version, of the song, played by ear, the way I was able to play it on sitar in 1998. That's all.

Me encontre en un cd unas grabaciones que hice por 1998, cuando me compre a traves de eBay una citara. El sonido esta algo opaco, a ver que tal. Por ahi halle un fragmento de video tambien.

se ve que esta bien cabron tocar ese instrumento felisidadez no manches esta bien dificil tocar esa cosa pero es lo que utilisaban para esa cancion no yo jas escuche de una sitara electrica

Hola pteypablo0, Brian Jones invento el riff de citara caracteristico de la cancion y aunque en los videos de la epoca (que puedes hallar en youtube) sale con una citara, quien en realidad toca la introduccion es Keith con su guitarra distorsionada y la citara esta en segundo plano, tocando tambien. La citara electrica es la que se escucha por ejemplo en "Hooked on a feeling" de B.J Thomas y "Cry like a baby" de los Box Tops

It's really played on sitar. The Rolling Stones were on the Ed Sullivan show in 1966 and Brian is seated playing this on a sitar. Wearing a hat with a feather in it.

@DownTownStalker Yes the intro is keith on guitar but in the middle what this guy is playing on sitar is pretty much the same thing brian plays.
