Austrian and Czech polic have detained a criminal gang composed of 50 Armenian immigrants, Austrian radio reported. The criminal gang has committed murder, racket, robbery and theft, RIA Novosti reported.
The gang was led by "Vor v Zakone" 40-year-old Armenian immigrant who ordered at least two murders in Prague and several murderous assaults in Austria. The gang acted mainly in Czech Republic. The gang members levied tribute to their former compatriots. In case of refusal to pay, they murdered them.
The gang members have also committed shoplifting. They are charged with committing roughly 100 robberies in Vienna, Lower Austria and Schtria. The size of damage is estimated at 400,000 euro.
Investigation is underway into the case of Armenian mafia.
