Two things that aren't in there - he doesn't constantly wear a deerstalker hat, and he doesn't ever say 'Elementary my dear Watson' - which I love. And in fact, those two things are not found anywhere in the original books. The deerstalker hat was invented by an illustrator of the books, and the phrase 'Elementary my dear Watson' is first found in the early televised version of the stories... :)
