Music Producer Carlos Gutierrez, more commonly known as C-Los, has created a blog to promote his newest album of instrumental music entitled "Third Eye Series Vol. 2 : Rise and Multiply" which highlights a style of multimedia art which I have coined #Villin. C-Los defines #Villin as the the epitome of a pop x club x hood x viral meta- pop multimedia art , which uses online tools to portray social and political commentary in an entertaining atmosphere for people to think, strategize, and execute their own movement using new online industry tools in the real and digital space. In essence he is attempting to change the way we experience music.

"As a self-contained producer, and I draw influences from all genres of music to created my own #Villin sound. The Third Eye Series soundscape is a mash up of Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B, House, Glitch, and World sounds. I manifest an original sound by mixing hard hitting drums, soulful rhythms, and infectious melodies with samples, instrumentation, software synthesizers, and live DJing. My songs depict the particular groove and emotion that animates the masses, who use these concepts as sources of inspiration for artists who are talented in the performance/vocalist space, and well as to influence a word of mouth viral brand through transmission of ideas in the oral and visual traditions".

Each track, which can be heard at c-losmusic.bandcamp.com, has dynamic activity that creates a common ground with the audience through a shared attitude about concepts that affects the public and artists alike such as such as economics, violence, family, social alienation, polarization of societal units, and cultural and social deprivation, using satire humor in the song titles and lyrics (as well as graphic and parodied visuals in the videos) to reach out to the minds and souls of the masses. In the tradition of great art that has come out of the New York City, Gutierrez aspires to be the next producer to create classic records with a message that reach out to the market on a global scale.

The promotional blog for the Third Eye Series, C-losvillin.tubmlr.com, encompasses a wide spectrum of sonic and visual space in 1 to 2 minute segments of video and music that parody online pre-roll advertisements, video, using audio tags, background noise, and banners. #Villin material is commentary of the popular consumption of mass online media (commonly targeted to the youth and adults alike through viral videos) using emotional trigger methods such as shock value, boredom, and reality comedy. Meanwhile all of the tailored content (sound and visual) being created for this site, using a mobile device, logicpro audio/reason, and iMovie is in production in less than 20 minutes a pop.

As the music industry is evolving, C-Los is one of the few who will survive the weed eating in 2011. Having experience working with youth and developing their creativity, as well as starting as a producer and DJ an early age, C-Los is an up-and-coming CEO, producer, songwriter, engineer, mixer, DJ, and lyricist who is elevating himself from the ground up using social networking and prolific creative discipline to become the next music industry sensation in the producer's chair. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area he is doing what he does best, working with new talent, launching his own hybrid social business venture, StudioStartup.com, and performing in New York City. He is accomplishing his ambition by gaining ground from more than one angle--he is a candidate for Bachelor of Fine Arts at New York University's Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music.
