This two-part 5th-Grade dance number begins with a practice session and ends with one of the actual program performances. The students are using "poi" balls, which are culturally important in parts of Polynesia. In this performance, white tube socks were used along with multiple blacklights and a strobe light. The video does not fully capture how great the darkened stage looked, but it does allow you to hear the lively audience really getting into the spirit of the moment!!! With the guidance of a very skilled dance teacher, Ms. Danielle Ev, the students worked very hard to learn the complicated routine.
