Made on Lightwave 3D many years ago, by myself.
Shows my invention, a remote controlled ball (invented in 1987), in a 3D animation as an inflatable robot on Mars.
Now in use in Rotundus AB as their Groundbot.
Another lowres version of the animation has been on youtube for a while, so I thought I should put it here also, and now in HD.
Read the history about it at http://www.picsart.net/orb

  • Well, one of its main advantages is the possibility of being inflatable.

If it's big and soft, it can easily travel over rocks (there are limitations obviously though..) etc.

If it gets stuck there are several ways to jump or getting a temporary very high momentum, to get loose.

  • I like your design but do you think that is enought stronger for go through the rocks? or maybe it has another mechanism to do it?
