An interview with Leonard Cohen which focuses on the release of his poetry collection, Stranger Music. I'm assuming this interview took place in 1994 and I think it was in Montreal.
The interviewer was Peter Gzowsky, on "Morningside" on CBC--CBC is federally funded radio in Canada. Gzowsky was a hugely loved guy up here, and this program was on for years. My Mom left the CBC on in our house 24/7, so for me if I look carefully enough I can probably find Gzowsky's voice mumbling in the background of nearly all my childhood memories.
How great to find him chatting with the mightily humble Leonard Cohen here years later!
Weird...the interviewer didn't know what he meant about leaving Marianne and Alex to pursue his career. He knew pretty much everything about LC but that.

Who is this interviewer and from what radio program is the interview? Thanks for posting! One of the most cheerful and lively interviews.

His explanation of that poem is pretty fascinating. What a specimen.
