I'm English, and I can admit that a LOT of people here fell for it too. We had people organising with each other to start doing poster campaigns before it got exposed. It was all over the internet. The Kony 2012 video was carefully constructed, and it was really sad because it was one of the rare occasions where people were prepared to go to the streets and make a change, and they got completely let down.

Shame that Kony didn’t carry the 2012 presidential election in the USA, for his campaign did gather really momentum; especially his wonderful ideas about balancing the budget by recruiting children for the military and paying it by pillage; but than his campaign manager did go mental and masturbated in public and these puritan Americans do not forgive sins of the flesh (while they did forgave Bush the Son for lying about weapons of mass destruction to them) and so Kony sadly lost.
