@1978eagles I have to beg to differ. This might be more important, but the Miracle at the Meadowlands 2 a few years ago might be the most amazing comeback I have ever seen...And that runback from Jackson...I must be a sports fan if that brings tears to my eyes. Where has that team gone?

I agree. This is truly THE GREATEST PLAY EVER by the Philadelphia Eagles. Only because it has been since 1960 that they have won a championship. Giants rock. Eagles suck. Amen. Halleluiah.

CHeck out Stan Walters turning the end, and Carmichael's block on the cornerback.... that and Wilbert's vision made that play.

@campaigner111 The point I am making here is that Eagle fans bash the Cowboys for their misfortunes and they are in no position to do so. Eagle fans like to remind Cowboy fans of the fact that it has been 15 yrs since last Dallas title. It was 1960 since they last won one. I happen to have a lot of respect for the Eagles. They are the ones using the fact that Dallas has not won a title in 15 yrs. "as a weapon". I use the fact that their last title was 1960 as a counter-point.

It IS the greatest Eagles play ever, not because of the design of the play itself, but because of what it meant at the time. Look beyond the surface and set your mind back to 1980. The hatred of the Cowboys. Tom Landry. Decades of mediocrity. The over-achieving Eagles, a team with ZERO bonafide superstars. All you have to do is listen to the crowd. Have you ever heard a louder crowd reaction to a play? I doubt it. That alone makes it the greatest Eagles play...ever.
