These are structured improvisations that were given to the dancers in written form and spoken instructions right before the live performances in the galleries at the Dallas Museum of Art. These dancers are either members of Barefoot Brigade Dance producing companies or dancers that performed in an adjudicated piece chose specifically for this June 2010 performance at the Dallas Museum of Art. The improvisation structures were created by Angie Dutton of Feel Good Dance ( http://www.FeelsLikePeace.com ), a producing member of the Barefoot Brigade.

Other participating companies were:
Contemporary Dance Fort Worth
Tina Mallone, solo artist
Phase 2 Dance Ensemble
Satellite Dance
Muscle Memory Dance Theatre

The Barefoot Brigade is a coalition of area modern dance professionals and enthusiasts working to improve exposure, accessibility, and economics for Modern Dance. Barefoot Brigade seeks to work alongside the larger community to develop the audiences, venues, and financial resources necessary to make North Texas a nationally-recognized community for the creation and presentation of innovative dance works.
