I'm portuguese and she's lovely. Maybe texan, she can mess with one's references alright.

Wow Sarah, calm down. You're too excited.

@superflyenglishvegan I don't think it's unreasonable to assume you're English by your name. Just sayin'.
I was born and raised in Austin. Sarah Jaffe is in the mold of a lot of great Texas liberal musicians; Stevie Ray Vaughan, Patty Griffin, Lyle Lovett, Alejandro Escovedo, The Toadies. You have to be able to look deeper than superficial elements of their sound. If you do, you can hear the Texas in their music. If I meet someone, I can usually tell if they're from here.

@mistaspot1 Stereotypes! Ahaha that's hilarious! You think because I have "English" in my name I'm from England? No, I've lived in Denton, Harlingen, Electra, Corpus Christi, Wichita Falls, born in Lubbock. I was just speaking of my experience. I'm sure there's great things in cities like Austin where my bf's from, but I just haven't seen them. I feel there's always pressure to follow a "Texas standard" if you know what I mean, especially when I see a cowboy. Just my take.

@mistaspot1 It's like redneckish, old school. Women have pink collar jobs, or wear too much makeup, have a Texas accent. Think the death penalty is right, believe in religion and if they dont they're minority. I hate that kind of Texas.
My love for this song increased tenfold after watching the girl in pink tights strum the violin.

even though her face is motionless, it's still really moving.
