Red Sox Dustin Pedroia Talks about his Inspirations

Dustin Pedroia, a baseball player for the Boston Red Sox (MLB) baseball team talk about the people that influenced him. ""My parents, like I said, and pretty much every coach I played for has helped along the way, but my parents and brother were probably the most influential people in my life, pushing me to become a better baseball player and person. Anytime you play sports there is always obstacles. For me, my size. I'm not the biggest guy in the world so you always have those doubters that say you're too small and you can't do this and you can't do that, but you got to go out there and prove them wrong everyday. So that's probably my biggest thing to overcome. I just want everyone to say that this guy played the game the right way. Played hard. That's about it man. I already won a World series. We've won one this year and it's a matter of going out there and doing it again and again. So it's gonna be tough because everyone is out to get us now but we got to find a way to win it again. In our game, there's a lot that can go wrong. Set goals. There is a lot of little things that can happen that could prevent that. The only thing I said is ?Yeah, I'm trying to help the team win a World series, and last year that happens. So I guess that goal kind of came true.""
