in austin 20 years ago, just after she won an award for her song "exceptional man" (this song) i gave my pregnant neighbor, leeann, and her guitar a ride on the back of my motorcycle to 6th street to play a gig ... soon after i moved to another country and never saw her again, but i never forgot her ... she's one of the sweetest people i ever met ... an exceptional woman.
