Yeah I remember the flat bits I've got a telescopic ski pole that is can put in my pack. Hopefully I won't get stuck this year, had to walk down the flat bits last time watching all the skiers wizzing by.

@darkwaterblack I think it roughly takes around 10-15 minutes in real time although it gets very flat towards the end and can be particularly hard work if your on a snowboard.
