@otherdude15 -- Well, I won't get into the stupid name-calling game between people. But if you look at it, you've got to admit that your question "how did they make the phone call without a phone line" is just about as lame as all the idiotic name-calling on both sides that came after it.
Radio communication had been around for 80 years by that time. You just hook up the voice signal from the phone to the radio communication system.
